Lawn Care Team Member Job Description
Location: Allison Park, PA
Shift: Daylight with overtime as needed
Reporting To: Lawn Care Supervisor
Summary Description
Crew Members are the most critical part of our company! As a Lawn Care Crew Member, you will be part of a strong team who will help serve our residential and commercial maintenance contracts. Since you will be the face of J. Fries Landscape & Design to our clients, you have the ability to turn our first-time clients into life-long relationships through the quality and professionalism of your performance as well as your positive attitude. These relationships have kept us rooted in our community since we opened in 2003.
Specifically, your team is responsible for providing year-round property maintenance, including mowing & turf management, seasonal cleanups, seasonal color installation, bed maintenance and snow removal. Our staff is responsible for ensuring the highest quality service that our clients have come to expect from J. Fries Landscape & Design.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Crew Member, your team will be responsible for seasonal lawn care and other services, including, but not limited to:
- Weekly mowing with commercial lawn care equipment.
- Trimming, edging, weeding, mulching & other detail work using powered equipment.
- Leaf cleanups, pruning & basic plant care service.
- Snow removal, including shoveling and application of snow melting products.
- Scheduled cleaning and maintenance of crew trucks and equipment as well as office grounds and garage.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly and 80 pounds occasionally in a safe manner.
- Ability to operate landscape equipment including, but not limited to; mowers, trimmers, blowers & other basic equipment.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards & commitment to regular use of personal protective
- Ability to attain reliable transportation to and from work and a strong attendance record.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather, at irregular hours and in fast-changing conditions.
- Commitment to work well in a team and follow direction from leadership.

- Prior landscaping experience is preferable, but hands-on training is available for motivated new team members.

Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the Lawn Care Crew Member to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and dusty conditions. May be frequently exposed to heights and uneven surfaces. Crew members are required to use personal protective equipment as environmental conditions dictate.

As the leader on the front line of our operation, the Lawn Care Supervisor is a critical part of our leadership team! You will have the freedom to build your team and give them daily, hands-on direction to ensure successful completion of work for our residential and commercial maintenance contracts. Your team will have the ability to turn our first-time clients into life-long relationships through the quality and professionalism of your performance as well as your positive attitude.
